HOST International Indonesia is focussed on supporting urban refugees to develop a positive future mindset and actively prepare for resettlement. This includes supporting refugees to live in harmony with local Indonesians and providing support to refugee communities to establish and maintain programs that support community wellbeing and vocational training.

Our work in Indonesia is still developing and we currently operate in partnership with SUAKA, Roshan Learning Centre and HELP School.

Refugee Wellbeing Study

HOST International has begun a research project in partnership with the Refugee Trauma and Recovery Program at UNSW in Sydney and SUAKA in Jakarta with the aim to investigate the adaptation of refugees and asylum-seekers in environments of sustained displacement over a two-year period.

Little Things

From little things, big things grow – that’s the philosophy of the Little Things project, which provides small grants of $5,000 to under-resourced, grass-roots projects that make lives better for refugees around the world.
What we do

The CandleLighters volunteer program is an initiative of HOST International to provide development opportunities to staff by supporting them on volunteer assignments overseas.
